This is still a work in progress, changes may happen any time.
World
Zone based but otherwise open world
Towns are social hubs
Camps are secondary social hubs
Some zones layout will facilitate a more fun pvp experience
Dark themed areas as well as beutiful areas
Two factions at war with each other, only way to create meaningful pvp
Swimming might be an option, It would be great to have it
Weather effects patched in later
Ability to shout across zones or different servers for in game money
Quests might happen, might not, if they do then first quest will definitly be 'go kill 30 boars'
High hard level cap, players should reach a soft cap before the maximum level cap because monsters that give decent xp with run out. As new mobs are patched in the soft cap will increase.
Combat
Dodge any attack
Attack or melee swing any time you want, even in towns
Basic melee attack can hit multiple targets at once
No targets
As fast paced as possible
Show everyones damage or just yours, changable in options
Lore
Heavy storyline focused lore which will progress with patches
Definitely involving dragons
NPCs
Lore integrated npc's
Blacksmiths
Merchants
No skill trainers
Bank
Items
Most items drop only from monsters, Merchants will only provide basic equipment and potions.
Skill scrolls
Items can be refined to +9 and to 3 'elite' stages
Items that fail to get refined can either break or go down several slots at higher refinement levels
To increase chance of success a certain item will be needed
Most materials required to upgrade will drop from mobs, and some from bosses
Scrolls to different areas
Inventory tabs will unlock at certain levels
PvE
Outdoor bosses
Some bosses will be scripted with special mechanics
Very hardcore raids which are instanced
A couple (atmospheric) dungeons which are instanced, ranging from easy to hard (not hardcore)
Very lore focused mobs
Mobs regen health at a certain rate
Bosses might able to speak back to you/analyse speech "NEW"
You can try kite mobs but some will have special long range attacks to prevent players abusing kiting
A player can only see the mobs hp bar/mana bar and a casting bar above a mobs head (You cant see level)
There will be no way to tell which mobs are appropriate for your level to fight (Go in and find out hehe)
Support for massive sized mobs
Bigger mobs will naturally do more damage but not in all cases, for example a well trained human warrior
boss will have better fighting technique than a dumb ogre and therefore will do more damage
You can dodge nearly every attack that a mob performs, in some cases it will be impossible to dodge a melee attack because a monster is clearly faster than you, but there monsters are unable to launch any 'heat seeking' spells at you unless they are specially scripted or boss fights.
PvP
Will incourage guild based combats
Possible battleground
Skills
Some skills work while you hold the skill button, a good example of this is one of the classes will be able to convert hp to mana or mana to hp with 2 separate skills, you can hold the button as long as you want, but bear in mind if hp reaches 0 you still die
Ability to level up any skill and trade it or just buy a leveled skill
Limited skill selection
Some kind of talent tree
Gems
Gems will fill slots generated by the refining process on certain equipment
Dropped by mobs, traded with players or purchased from cash shop
Titles
Titles give stat bonuses
Some titles might only be available only from the cash shop
Some titles might allow your character to behave in certain ways when specific events happen, for example when you are aproached by a much lower level player of the opposite faction and attacked, you automaticly shoot a lazer out of your eyes turning them into a puddle of blood, thats just a silly example though.
Mounts
Mounts might make an appearance with some patch, not at launch
Some mounts will look mean like a rhino
Some mounts will look funny like a chocobo thing
Factions
Factions will have a small camp associated with them
Some factions are at war with other factions and may become hostile if you are clearly friends with
the other faction
GUI
Sleek and minimalistic
Cash shop might end up in game
There may not be a map for exploration reasons
Damage meter
Guilds
There will be a cap on guild size
Being in a guild group party will provide specific stat bonuses
Guild emblems next to character
Guilds may recieve scores based on the equipment and player levels in the guild, reaches certain scores may grant visual or textual rewards
Buffs
Most buffs will affect the party/raid as well
Some buffs will affect only you
There will be a buff limit, if you go over the limit it will remove the first buff in the buff list to accomodate the new buff
Trade
Player booths
Person to person trade
Cash shop
Skill reset
Potions
Mounts
Refining stones (will drop in game also)
30 day xp/drop boost
Rare gems (will drop in game also)
Skill books (will drop in game also)
